Bulk of collection concerns the lawsuit between Bradford and the NEW YORK TIMES regarding allegations that Bradford violated provisions of the Incentive Compensation Plan at the NEW YORK TIMES when he joined the Scripps-Howard newspapers in 1963. Included are depositions and transcripts of testimony by NEW YORK TIMES executives, Bradford's daily journals and diaries, 1959-1963, and background memoranda and articles concerning the lawsuit and Bradford's disagreement with NEW YORK TIMES executives over the nomination of Arthur Ochs Sulzberger as publisher, 1958-1975. Also included are miscellaneous memoranda and transcripts related to Bradford's tenure as vice president and general manager of the NEW YORK TIMES.
